I went and saw lucky stiff opening night, and was very delighted in what I saw. I was very impressed with this show from such a lesser know theater... a must-see!

I had never heard of Lucky Stiff, so I didn't know what to expect, but I enjoyed this show so much! It was non-stop fun. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! I loved each of the characters and the songs were very catchy. Everything was performed very well. I am going again in two weeks and I'm making sure my husband comes this time. He will love it! My friends and I watched the opening night of this show without high expectations (it IS only community theater, after all), and we were blown away! We laughed the WHOLE way through!! Great comedic timing, fabulous characterizations, and the voice talent was also impressive. There was even a hilarious little film shown part way through the show that had us rolling! The show was impressive visually, too - there was a blackout dream scene with glowing objects - it was so much fun to watch! This show is a bargain - you'll get your money's worth! Collapse

Its been a long time since I have seen a show as cleverly written and superbly acted as LUCKY STIFF. Every actor seemed to fit their character so perfectly. The paceing of the show never left you time... Expand
Its been a long time since I have seen a show as cleverly written and superbly acted as LUCKY STIFF. Every actor seemed to fit their character so perfectly. The paceing of the show never left you time to look at your watch and when it was over, you couldn't help but think where did the last two hours go? Jason Campbell and Megan Hall were perfectly cast as the shy and a bit akward leads that everyone could relate to and Micky Pace was a joy to watch as the legally blind and a bit neurotic Rita. Every character, from the leads to the multiple charactered chorus, had a whimsical and comical air about their performances. From Jacci Florence and her nosey and pushy landlady to Melissa Platt and her very swanky and seductive night club singer - Dominique, it was a riot seeing most of the cast playing several characters with sometimes only seconds to change costumes! This show is a definate must see and if you have never been to the Terrace Plaza Playhouse, this show is worth the trip! Collapse

I entered the theater with very little knowledge about the story. I knew the basic story, but not enough details to set expectations. Once the show began, the hilarity set in and I could not stop... Expand
I entered the theater with very little knowledge about the story. I knew the basic story, but not enough details to set expectations. Once the show began, the hilarity set in and I could not stop laughing. It is a very strong cast where stars to chorus give a very strong performance. The direction was very well done to ensure that there wasn't a dropped joke as they're all very well executed. The vocals were strong with the performances. They were new songs to me and I found them entertaining. The dance numbers were very fun. A couple of my favorites were the train ride to Monte Carlo and the Nightmare number. If you haven't been to the theater in a while, or you need to see a unique play, you should go check this one out. This isn't one I've seen performed around Northern Utah often, which surprises me considering what a great script this is. So why are you still reading? Get your tickets, get a date, and see this show already. I'll be seeing this one again! Enjoy. Collapse
